Church of Boris and Gleb

The Church of Boris and Gleb is an Eastern Orthodox building in Kideksha with white limestone walls decorated with carved details, a central dome, and three semicircular apses arranged in traditional Russian church form. The structure contains prayer spaces and areas designed for religious ceremonies following the standard Orthodox layout.

The church was founded in 1152 under Prince Yury Dolgoruky and marked the rise of Vladimir-Suzdal as an important political center in medieval Russia. This period shows how the region became a power base in early Russian history.
