The Tver is a nuclear-powered submarine of the Russian navy stationed in Kamchatka and part of the Oscar-II class. The boat features propulsion systems with two reactors as well as missile tubes and torpedo stations for underwater deployment.
The boat began service with the Northern Fleet in 1991 and moved to the Pacific Fleet two years later. In 2011 the submarine received its new name after the city of Tver in western Russia.
The submarine demonstrates Russian naval engineering through its nuclear propulsion system, featuring two OK-650b reactors and twin steam turbines for underwater operations.
