Tsaritsyno Palace Building, Palace in Orekhovo-Borisovo Severnoye District, Moscow, Russia
The red and white palace with pointed towers stands on elevated ground, featuring classical proportions and Gothic architectural elements along its facade.
Catherine II commissioned the palace in 1785, but rejected the initial design by Vasily Bazhenov and appointed Matvey Kazakov to create a new project.
The palace halls display exhibitions from the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve collection, including artifacts from the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Visitors can access multiple exhibition spaces across the palace complex, with audio guides available in Russian and English languages.
The building remained unfinished with a temporary black roof until 2005, earning it the local nickname 'Giant's Coffin' during its abandoned period.
