Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden of PetrSU is a large facility displaying many different plant species both in outdoor sections and within greenhouse structures. The collection includes native and exotic plants used for teaching and research at the university.

This facility was founded in 1951 to support botanical studies at the university and document the plant diversity of the region. The project was part of a broader effort to develop scientific research in Petrozavodsk.

The garden functions as an educational center where students and researchers conduct botanical studies while preserving native and exotic plant species for future generations.

Visitors can explore the different sections through marked pathways and observe various plant collections. Guided tours are offered to learn more about the displayed species and their significance.
