Vorontsovskaya Cave

Vorontsovskaya Cave is a limestone system that stretches through the landscape with 14 separate entrances located at varying elevations. The network extends for several kilometers, connecting different chambers and passages with distinct rock formations and geological features.

Prehistoric times brought large animals such as cave bears and saber-toothed tigers to inhabit this system, evidence found through bone remains. Later, humans settled in the caves and left traces of their fires and daily activities.

The cave served as a gathering place where people performed ceremonies and left behind tools and altars that reveal their spiritual practices.

Wooden pathways, bridges, and lighting systems throughout the passages make it safe to walk through without requiring special equipment. The multiple entrances provide different starting points depending on which areas you want to explore.

One chamber displays rock formations that resemble organ pipes, earning it the name Music Hall among visitors. Nearby, the Prometheus section stretches impressively long and draws attention for its sheer scale.
