The two-story building features four symmetrically placed columns at its main entrance, with plastered brick walls and white stone decorative elements.
Italian merchant Paolo Galyani constructed this establishment at the end of the 18th century, incorporating a tavern, restaurant, and entertainment hall.
Alexander Pushkin stayed at this hotel multiple times between 1826 and 1836, mentioning the establishment in his poetic message to Sobolevsky.
The structure stands at the intersection of Pushkinskaya and Volodarsky streets in central Tver, now housing the Tveruniversalbank since 1993.
From 1859, the hotel welcomed Fyodor Dostoevsky, and later transformed into a private girls' gymnasium and agricultural bank branch.
