Maryino Estate

Maryino Estate is a four-story mansion with two-story side wings in Rylsky District. Its interior features marble fireplaces, original parquet flooring, and ornately decorated ceiling moldings throughout the spaces.

Prince Ivan Baryatinsky had the estate built between 1811 and 1820, and its name comes from two women who were important to him. The property has survived into modern times after facing threats during the twentieth century.

The landscape park follows English design principles and shows how aristocrats connected their estates with nature. The formal gardens near the palace reflect how Russian landowners of the 1800s wanted their surroundings to look and feel.

Today the property operates as a sanatorium under the Presidential Administration and provides medical services to visitors. You should check access conditions beforehand since it functions as an active medical facility with restricted visiting.

During World War II, local resistance fighters prevented German forces from destroying the mansion as they withdrew from the region. This act of protection allowed the building to survive and be preserved for future generations.
