Meshchyora National Park

Meshchyora National Park encompasses 118,900 hectares of wetlands, dense pine-birch forests, rivers, and lakes in the Meshchyora lowland region.

The park territory contains numerous archaeological sites and artifacts from the middle Stone Age, including remnants of ancient settlements from the VII-III millennium BC.

Local residents maintain traditional crafts within the park boundaries, including willow weaving, wooden boat construction, and creation of birch bark items.

Visitors can explore marked ecological trails throughout the year, with guided tours available from information centers located at multiple entrance points.

The park houses a tourist complex named Khrustalny, featuring exhibitions of butterfly collections and detailed landscape models of the protected territory.
