Pavilion Orla, 18th century folly in Gatchina, Russia.

The Pavilion Orla stands on elevated ground within the Palace Park, featuring classical architectural elements and medieval castle design influences.

Architect Antonio Rinaldi constructed this pavilion between 1766 and 1781 for Count Grigori Orlov, a principal figure in Catherine the Great's court.

The pavilion forms part of the Gatchina Museum-Preserve, representing the architectural preferences and social status of Russian nobility in the late 1700s.

Visitors can reach the pavilion through marked pathways in the Palace Park, which connects to various other structures including the Echo Grotto.

The structure incorporates design elements from hunting castles while providing panoramic views across the surrounding Palace Park landscape.
