Perovsky Park, Protected park in Perovo District, Moscow, Russia.
Perovsky Park is a protected green area in the Perovo District of eastern Moscow, with walking paths, recreation zones, and sports facilities spread across several connected sections. The grounds include wooded areas, open lawns, and paved paths that make it easy to move from one part to another.
The land around the park developed in connection with the Perovskiy Palace, a nearby estate from the 18th century that shaped how the area was used for generations. After the estate fell out of aristocratic use, the grounds were gradually opened to the public as a neighborhood park.
The park is woven into the daily routine of people living in Perovo, who come here to walk, play, or simply sit on the benches along the tree-lined paths. On weekends, the open spaces fill with families and children, giving the place a relaxed, neighborhood feel.
The park has multiple entry points around its perimeter, and the paths inside are clearly marked, making it easy to get oriented on a first visit. It stays open year-round, so dressing in layers is a good idea, especially in winter when the paths can get icy.
Despite sitting in a heavily built-up part of the city, the park contains sections with native vegetation that are protected specifically for their ecological value, not just their historical status. This makes it one of the few places in this part of Moscow where urban nature is formally recognized and managed on its own terms.
