Strelna Palace of Peter I

The white and yellow wooden palace stands on a hill west of the Konstantinovskiy Palace park, featuring architectural elements from the early 1700s.

Construction of the imperial residence started in 1711 under Peter I's supervision, with major modifications adding a bath, front room, and mezzanine in 1720.

The palace museum displays artifacts including Peter I's holiday suit, a patchwork blanket, and a bronze bas-relief depicting the emperor.

The palace opens to visitors as part of the Peterhof State Museum Reserve, offering guided tours through restored 18th-century interiors.

The gardens contained fish ponds where carp and trout were specifically bred for royal consumption during religious fasting periods.
