Tervu

Tervu is a cove along Lake Ladoga's rocky shore, marked by granite cliffs and dense pine forests meeting the water's edge. The shoreline features natural rock formations and a geology shaped over thousands of years.

The cove is accessible by following a marked path from the Sortavala road, with parking located at a reasonable distance from the water. The paths to the shore can be slippery when wet, so sturdy footwear is recommended.

The waters freeze during winter months, creating ice formations that locals use for traditional ice fishing. This seasonal transformation shows how the environment shifts dramatically and how people have adapted to use these conditions for generations.
