The Musical Theatre, Musical theater company in Moscow, Russia
The Musical Theatre occupies the former Russia Cinema building at Pushkinskaya Square, featuring daily performances of contemporary musical productions.
Founded in 2011, the theater moved to its current location in 2017 after operating at the Gorbunov Palace of Culture for five years.
The theater produces Russian adaptations of international musicals and original productions, including a rock opera version of Crime and Punishment.
The venue presents performances in rotating blocks of 3-4 different shows, combining Broadway-style daily scheduling with traditional repertory theater practices.
The theater received recognition on Moscow's Avenue of Musical Stars with two dedicated stars for its productions Times Cannot Be Chosen and Embezzlers.
