The Musical Theatre, Musical theater company in Moscow, Russia

The Musical Theatre occupies the former Russia Cinema building at Pushkinskaya Square and presents daily performances of contemporary musical productions. The venue rotates several different shows on a rolling schedule throughout the week.

Founded in 2011, the theater relocated to its current location in 2017 after spending five years at the Gorbunov Palace of Culture. The move to this central square represented a major growth phase for the organization.

The theater produces Russian adaptations of international musicals and original works that reimagine literary classics. These productions show how the venue brings familiar stories to contemporary audiences through music and dance.

The theater presents multiple shows in rotating blocks, allowing visitors to choose from different productions on different days. Its location on Pushkinskaya Square makes arrival straightforward, with plenty of restaurants and cafés in the surrounding area.

The theater received recognition on Moscow's Avenue of Musical Stars with two dedicated stars for its productions Times Cannot Be Chosen and Embezzlers. This honor reflects local appreciation for the company's contributions to the city's musical theater scene.
