Majakovsky Park in Yekaterinburg

Majakovsky Park is a 130-hectare green space in the Oktyabrski district with walking paths, open spaces, and recreational facilities surrounded by natural pine forest. The site features about 37 different attractions, including gaming halls and seasonal facilities for various age groups.

The park was established in May 1933 on the grounds of former merchant estates and named after poet Vladimir Mayakovsky to honor his visit to Sverdlovsk. During World War II, it served as a training ground for the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps before reopening to the public in 1943.
