The 130-hectare Majakovsky Park features numerous walking paths, open spaces, and recreational areas surrounded by a natural pine forest setting.
Established in May 1933 on former merchant estates, the park was named after poet Vladimir Mayakovsky to commemorate his visit to Sverdlovsk.
Throughout its existence, the park has integrated multiple performance spaces, including a 2,200-seat outdoor theater for concerts and public events.
The park maintains 37 different attractions, gaming halls, and seasonal facilities, welcoming approximately 4.5 million visitors annually.
During World War II, the park served as a training ground for the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps reconnaissance battalion before reopening in 1943.
