Karaul

A nobleman named Nikolay Vasilyevich Chicherin purchased the property in 1837 and commissioned the main manor buildings on the elevated terrain. The estate subsequently developed into a significant cultural landmark that survives to the present day.

The Trinity Church on the grounds was built following Italian design principles and served as the setting for important family gatherings and religious ceremonies. It remains the most striking building on the property today and shapes how visitors perceive the entire estate.
