Odrin-Nikolaevsky Monastery, Eastern Orthodox monastery in Odrina village, Bryansk Oblast, Russia
Odrin-Nikolaevsky Monastery is an Orthodox monastery in Odrina village, in the Karachevsky District of Bryansk Oblast. The grounds include several church buildings topped with domes, living quarters for monks, and a spring within the enclosure.
The monastery was founded in the mid-19th century, during a period when Orthodox monastic life was growing across central Russia. In 2001, the Bryansk Oblast authorities formally listed it as a regional cultural heritage site.
The monastery is dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra, and his presence is felt throughout the site in icons, dedications, and the name of the spring on the grounds. Pilgrims often come to collect water from that spring, which they regard as holy.
The monastery sits at the edge of Odrina village and is reached by following local roads through the settlement. Modest clothing is expected, as the site is still used for worship every day.
A spring on the monastery grounds is dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and draws pilgrims who visit outside of any service. Some visitors come specifically for the water, which they carry home in containers.
