The Zelenkova Revenue House is a three-story brick structure with a T-shaped layout and a symmetrical main facade featuring ionic columns and pilasters. The building housed shops on the ground floor and apartments above, and today it serves the Press House administration and various retail businesses.
Built in 1906 as architect Fyodor Livchak's first project in Simbirsk, the building initially contained shops on the ground floor and rental apartments above. From 1911 to 1912, it served as headquarters for the Simbirskaya Zhizn newspaper and the Rabotnik printing house.
The facade displays a merchant family crest with two Caduceus figures, symbols tied to commerce and trade that reflect the building's role in the city's business life. These decorative elements show how important commercial activity was to the local community.
The building is publicly accessible and houses the Press House administration and several shops, so parts of it can be visited during regular business hours. The best way to see the architectural details is to walk around the exterior facade to admire the ionic columns and decorative elements.
