Sredneuralsk monastery

The Sredneuralsk monastery is an Eastern Orthodox sanctuary in the Ural region with characteristic white walls and golden domes rising above the mountain landscape. The grounds also house medical facilities for ill individuals and combine religious and care functions in one place.

The monastery was founded in 2005 as a relatively new religious establishment in the region. Its history took a dramatic turn in 2020 when it became the center of a church conflict.
