Gustav III's Pavilion, Royal pavilion in Haga Park, Sweden

The neoclassical pavilion features symmetrical wings, large windows, and white facades with architectural details influenced by Roman design principles.

King Gustav III commissioned architect Olof Tempelman to construct this pavilion in 1787, making it his residence until departing for the fatal masquerade ball in 1792.

The interior decoration by Louis Masreliez incorporates the Pompeian style, reflecting European fascination with Roman antiquity following discoveries at Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Visitors can access the pavilion through guided tours during summer months, exploring the Hall of Mirrors and the Blue Drawing Room.

The pavilion stands next to the Sultan's Copper Tents, structures designed between 1787 and 1790 to resemble Turkish military encampments for the palace guard.
