Hagby Church

Hagby Church is a round stone church built with thick walls containing narrow openings to serve defensive purposes. The structure features a rectangular chancel and a tower that represents the distinctive architectural style of medieval defensive religious buildings.

Construction began in the late 12th century, replacing an older wooden chapel dedicated to Saint Sigfrid. The building has served its community continuously over the centuries, becoming one of the few round churches of its kind that remain standing in Sweden today.
