Glaskogen

Glaskogen is a nature reserve in Värmland with extensive forests, hills, and numerous lakes that shape the landscape. Networks of hiking trails and water routes connect these different areas and allow visitors to explore in different ways.

The protected area was established in the 1970s to preserve forest landscapes for the future. Since then, the balance between nature conservation and human use has been actively maintained.

Certain areas are closed during specific months to protect nesting bird species like golden eagles and woodpeckers. These temporary access restrictions show how actively the areas are monitored and managed.
