Moderna Museet Malmö

Moderna Museet Malmö is an art museum housed in a converted industrial building near the city center. The collection spans multiple floors and displays modern and contemporary works across various media.

The museum was founded in 2009 as an extension of Stockholm's Moderna Museet, bringing international modern art to southern Sweden. This expansion established it as a major cultural presence across the Öresund region.

The museum presents works by Swedish and international artists through rotating exhibitions. Visitors encounter contemporary artistic voices that shape the creative conversation across the region.

The museum is about 10 minutes walk from Central Station and easily accessible from the city. Regular guided tours, workshops, and family activities happen throughout the week and on Sundays.

The museum runs a special program for infants up to 15 months old, introducing them to colors and materials through hands-on play. This approach lets even the youngest visitors experience art in their own way.
