Månstorp Gables, Medieval castle ruins in Vellinge, Sweden.
The remaining stone walls and gables of Månstorp stand as remnants of a three-story Renaissance castle with a defensive moat system.
Built between 1540 and 1547 by Danish Governor Eskil Bille, the castle changed hands from Danish to Swedish control before its destruction in 1678.
The castle structure incorporated a grand knight's hall with large windows and glazed tile floors on the second level of the building.
The site remains accessible to visitors and regularly hosts summer concerts amid the medieval stone structures of southern Sweden.
Carl von Linné, the renowned scientist, documented his visit to these ruins in 1749, noting the preserved moats and high walls.
