Hedenlunda, Manor house in Flen, Sweden
Hedenlunda is a manor house set on a large estate with maintained gardens and several outbuildings in the Swedish countryside near Stockholm. The main building now offers accommodation rooms, conference spaces, spa facilities, and gathering areas for different purposes.
The manor house was originally founded in the 13th century and later rebuilt by architect Carl Christoffer Gjörwell. It came into the family's ownership in 1841 and has remained in their care since then.
The rooms display furniture and decorative objects from the 18th and 19th centuries, including pieces in Gustavian and rococo styles. These items reflect how the Swedish upper class lived and what they valued during that period.
The property is easily accessible and offers plenty of space to explore the gardens and buildings at your own pace. Plan to spend time walking through the grounds, as the rooms and outdoor areas are spread throughout the estate.
The top floor of the main building features large Chesterfield sofas from which guests can take in the Swedish landscape. This space provides a quiet spot to enjoy drinks and take in the views over the surrounding countryside.
