Kalmar Teater, Heritage theatre and movie venue in Larmtorget, Sweden

Kalmar Teater is a three-storey white building at Larmtorget, designed by Bror Malmberg and inaugurated in 1863. Its ground floor has round-arched openings and a gated main entrance with steps; above the entrance, letters read "KALMAR TEATER", and the number "1862" is mounted near the corner. The upper floors have rectangular windows, the right face has tall round-arched windows, and a stepped parapet with an ornate crest and flagpole tops the building.

Kalmar Teater was designed by architect Bror Malmberg and inaugurated in 1863, the year mounted on the building's left face. Over time the house held a hotel, a dance hall, a cinema and a circus. A thorough renovation in 1987 left it looking as it did at the inauguration.
