Murberget Länsmuseet Västernorrland

The Västernorrland County Museum incorporates indoor exhibition spaces, archives, conservation studios, and an extensive outdoor area displaying historical buildings and environments.

Founded in 1913 following initiatives by Bishop Lars Landgren, the museum began with efforts to preserve the medieval Styresholm fortress and Ulvö chapel.

The museum maintains collections of archaeological artifacts, photographs, books, and recordings that document the heritage of Ångermanland and Medelpad regions since 1880.

Visitors can explore exhibitions Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with access to a shop and café in the main building.

The outdoor museum section features relocated structures including a medieval-style church, constructed between 1925 and 1929, and a complete village environment.
