Rögle säteri

Rögle säteri is an estate in Helsingborg Municipality featuring two large stone barns built after 1858 that rank among the largest agricultural structures in the Skåne region. The buildings stand on an island protected by a surrounding moat system that defines the property boundaries.

First documented in 1433, the estate passed through Danish hands until 1663 when Count Gustav Otto Stenbock became the owner. The property later developed into a significant economic operation during the 19th century under new management.

The manor displays traditional Swedish building design with its rectangular layout positioned on an island surrounded by a protective moat system. Visitors can observe how the architecture reflects the status and way of life of wealthy landowners in this region.

The estate is privately owned with limited access, though visitors can view the buildings from designated viewing areas near the grounds. Daylight hours are best for observing the structures and surrounding landscape clearly.

The property housed one of the region's earliest dairy operations, established by Colonel Count Carl Johan Wachtmeister in the 19th century. This venture showed how advanced agricultural methods were practiced at the estate during that period.
