The Trbovlje Chimney rises 360 meters above the Sava River, making it the tallest industrial chimney structure in Europe.
The construction of this massive concrete structure in 1976 required 11,866 cubic meters of material and 1,079 tons of steel reinforcement.
The chimney represents Slovenia's industrial development and stands as a registered cultural heritage monument within the Municipality of Trbovlje.
The height of this industrial stack ensures proper dispersion of emissions from the power station across the narrow valley region.
In 2020, the chimney became a climbing destination when athletes Janja Garnbret and Domen Škofic scaled its entire vertical surface.
