Magdalenska gora, Archaeological site in Zgornja Slivnica, Slovenia.
Magdalenska gora spans across a ridge with 28 burial mounds and remains of ancient settlements divided between upper and lower plateaus at 505 meters elevation.
The settlement flourished from 1100 BCE through Roman times, with excavations revealing bronze artifacts, weapons, and military equipment from the Iron Age period.
Archaeological discoveries include decorated situlae depicting social ceremonies and a four-armed cross with horse heads that became the Municipality of Grosuplje's coat of arms.
The archaeological site contains eight information points along the Archaeology Study Road, providing details about regional history and excavated artifacts.
Findings from Magdalenska gora are now exhibited in three different countries: Slovenia's National Museum, Harvard in the United States, and museums in Vienna.
