Teharje memorial park, War memorial in Teharje, Slovenia
The memorial park includes six residential barracks and ten additional buildings, situated on the outskirts of Celje in central Slovenia.
The site transformed from German Wehrmacht barracks in 1943 to a detention facility where approximately 5,000 individuals were executed after World War II.
Annual ceremonies at the memorial park bring together community members to remember those who lost their lives during the post-war period.
The memorial park, established in 2004, contains exhibition spaces detailing the events that occurred between 1943 and 1946.
The facility served multiple purposes, transitioning from Hitler Youth quarters to a partisan prison and finally to a memorial site.
