The Hurbanovo brewery started operations in 1969 and made history as the first company in Eastern Europe to introduce beer canning in 1971.
The brewery name Zlatý Bažant reflects the local wildlife, as the region contained numerous pheasants when the facility began production.
Visitors can participate in guided tours through the Hurbanovska Beer Road, which explains the complete brewing process from raw ingredients to finished product.
In 1978, beer from the Hurbanovo brewery traveled beyond Earth's atmosphere as part of a space mission.
