Kaštel Radvanských

Kaštel Radvanských is a Renaissance manor house with four towers rising across two stories, featuring interior spaces with arched ceilings from its original period. The rooms display a mix of Renaissance details alongside later ceiling treatments added in the nineteenth century.

Construction of the manor began in the early sixteenth century, built upon earlier Gothic foundations. The building underwent major renovations during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries that shaped its current form.

The Academy of Arts uses the property to host exhibitions, concerts, and community gatherings within the historical rooms throughout the year. These events turn the manor into an active center for artistic life in the area.

The manor is located in the Radvaň district and offers guided tours that explain its architectural evolution across different periods. Visitors should check ahead as the building is primarily used for cultural events, so viewing opportunities may vary.

Plans exist to open a museum inside the manor dedicated to local puppeteer Anton Anderle, a figure deeply rooted in the region's theatrical traditions. This initiative would preserve and showcase the puppet-making craft that remains part of the local cultural memory.
