Malinné

Malinné is a mountain summit in the Veľká Fatra range standing at 1209 meters, with views stretching across the northern Slovakian landscape. The peak serves both hikers and ski mountaineers depending on the season and snow conditions.

The mountain became a recreational destination during the 20th century when marked trails and ski routes were first established in the area. This infrastructure opened the summit to visitors year-round.

Local volunteers and the Malinô SkiAlp Team maintain the mountain trails throughout the year, preserving the natural environment for future generations.

The peak offers multiple routes suited to different skill levels, so visitors should check weather and seasonal conditions before heading out. The best time to visit depends on whether you prefer snow for skiing or dry conditions for hiking.

The peak is used for night-time ski mountaineering when designated paths are lit up for evening activities. This nocturnal experience offers something quite different from daytime visits.
