The New Evangelical Lyceum exhibits classical architectural elements with symmetrical proportions and structured facades along Konventní street number 13.
Founded in 1606 by David Kilger, the institution started as a Lutheran high school and operated with eight classes until 1656.
The school played a central role in Protestant education, with notable student Ľudovít Štúr attending from 1829 to 1836 before his language reform work.
The institution currently operates as a bilingual school with 280 students in a 5-year program and 100 students in an 8-year gymnasium.
The school maintains partnerships with American missionaries who serve as language instructors through the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America program.
