Bacino di Kučišdorf
The Kučišdorf basin is a water reservoir and fishing reserve near Pezinok, covering about 7 hectares. Water flows in from the Barvinský stream and out through the Trniansky stream, creating a continuous circulation that keeps conditions fresh and supports fish populations.
The basin developed through local efforts in water management at a time when the area was still called Kučišdorf. Over time it became an important site for regional water management and is now part of the Vinosady area, reflecting changes in local settlement patterns.
The basin carries names that reflect its connection to local history: Kučišdorf refers to the former community, while Vinosady points to nearby vineyard areas. This naming variety shows how the site is woven into people's daily lives and links different aspects of the region together.
The basin is easy to reach from Pezinok and welcomes visitors mainly in good weather for fishing, walking, or rest. To make the most of the site, follow the paths around the water's edge where you will find different spots for fishing or sitting by the shore.
The basin serves a dual purpose beyond fishing: it also plays a role in water management for nearby farms. This combined function shows how a single site can meet multiple community needs while remaining a place of rest and recreation.
