Phanom Rung historical park, Historical park in Thailand
Phanom Rung Historical Park is a Khmer temple complex set on the rim of an extinct volcano.
The complex was built between the 10th and 13th centuries.
It's dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, reflecting the influence of Hinduism in this region.
The park is located in Buriram Province, about 360 kilometers northeast of Bangkok.
During certain times of the year, the rising sun shines through all 15 doors of the sanctuary.
