Khlong Sam Wa

Khlong Sam Wa spans 110.686 square kilometers and contains five sub-districts: Sam Wa Tawan Tok, Sam Wa Tawan Ok, Bang Chan, Sai Kong Din, and Sai Kong Din Tai.

The district emerged from the division of Min Buri on November 21, 1997, taking its name from a canal measuring three wa, approximately 5.943 meters in width.

The Bang Chan neighborhood within Khlong Sam Wa serves as a central gathering point for local markets, temples, and traditional Thai community activities.

The district maintains the largest population among Bangkok's districts, reaching 209,120 residents in 2022, with comprehensive public transportation via buses and waterways.

At Kip Mu in Bang Chan, workers gather each morning between 5:00 and 9:00 to find daily employment opportunities in construction and maintenance tasks.
