Khwae Noi National Park is located in Phitsanulok Province and covers mountainous terrain with mixed deciduous forests and evergreen forests on hillsides. The landscape features multiple impressive waterfalls, including the nine-tiered Namtok Kaeng Pu Ten and the five-tiered Namtok Kaeng Suea, along with streams and river valleys.
The park was established in 1980 as Thailand's 11th national park to protect its biodiverse forests. Traces of World War II railway construction remain visible in the landscape, marking a significant period in the region's past.
