Bueng Kum, Administrative district in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bueng Kum is an administrative district in the eastern part of Bangkok, comprising three sub-districts called Khlong Kum, Nawamin, and Nuan Chan. The area includes residential neighborhoods, local parks, and water features that shape its layout.

The district was established in 1989 after separating from Bang Kapi District, initially containing three sub-districts. Over the following years, two of these areas were reclassified as independent districts, reshaping the region's administrative boundaries.

The name Bueng Kum refers to a lake once surrounded by Crataeva plants, and this heritage is reflected today in the Seri Thai Park with its water reservoir. Local residents gather at this water feature for daily activities and recreation, keeping the connection to the place's origins alive.

The district is easily accessible by road and public transport, making it convenient to visit throughout the day. Visitors should note the location of parks like Seri Thai Park, which serve as helpful reference points for orientation and exploring local facilities.

The district preserves memory of its namesake water body through the present-day Seri Thai Park, offering visitors a place tied to the area's past. This water feature, which once gave the district its name, now invites visitors to understand the connection between heritage and daily life.
