Rama V Bridge

Rama V Bridge is a cable bridge in Nonthaburi that spans the Chao Phraya River with six traffic lanes and separate pedestrian paths. The structure connects two subdistricts and is part of a network of crossings that serve the region.

Construction began in 1999 and was completed in 2002 as a government-backed infrastructure project to ease traffic across the river. The completion marked an important step in modernizing river crossings for the surrounding area.

The bridge bears the name of King Chulalongkorn, following Thailand's tradition of naming bridges after Chakri Dynasty rulers. This reflects how the country honors its royal history through everyday infrastructure.

The bridge sits between two other river crossings and provides direct access for both vehicles and pedestrians to reach either side. Visitors will find clear pathways on-site and can easily explore the surrounding area on foot.
