Khon Kaen National Museum

Khon Kaen National Museum contains numerous exhibits displaying archaeological findings, ancient artifacts, and historical objects from northeastern Thailand's Isan region.

King Bhumibol Adulyadej inaugurated the museum in December 1972 to preserve and display the cultural treasures from northern Isan's archaeological excavations.

The museum's six exhibition sections present the evolution of regional civilizations through displays of religious artifacts, traditional tools, and local artistic expressions.

Located at 193 Lang Suanrachakarn Road, the museum opens Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 16:00, with separate admission prices for Thai citizens and international visitors.

The collection includes rare dinosaur fossils, ancient Bai sema boundary markers, and significant artifacts from the UNESCO heritage site of Ban Chiang.
