Jebil National Park

The park extends across 150,000 hectares of desert terrain, featuring sand dunes, rocky plateaus, and sparse vegetation patches throughout its boundaries.

Established in October 1994, the park contains archaeological remains that indicate the presence of ancient civilizations in this section of the Sahara Desert.

The area maintains connections with local communities who have developed methods to live in harmony with the desert environment over generations.

Visitors need to bring sufficient water supplies and arrange transportation in advance, as facilities within the park boundaries remain limited.

The mountainous massif within the park reaches 220 meters in height and connects directly with the Grand Erg Oriental desert formation.
