Ararat anomaly, Anomaly on Mount Ararat
The Ararat anomaly is an object appearing on photographs of the snowfields near the summit of Mount Ararat.
First noticed by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency in 1949, it has been a subject of debate among enthusiasts of cryptozoology and biblical archaeology.
Many believe it to be the remains of Noah's Ark, as per the biblical story.
Despite numerous expeditions, no definitive evidence has been found to support this claim.
The anomaly is located at about 15,500 feet (4,724 meters), on the northwest corner of the Western Plateau of Mount Ararat.
