Saint Hakob of Akori monastery, Monastery in Turkey
The Saint Hakob of Akori monastery is an Armenian Apostolic monastery.
This religious site dates back to the 10th century.
The monastery served as a prominent spiritual and intellectual center.
The ruins can be visited nearby the village of Akori.
It was buried by a landslide after the 1840 earthquake but has since been excavated.
