Cehennemağzı Cave, Archaeological cave complex in Ereğli, Turkey.

Three interconnected chambers form this cave system, with two containing lakes and one featuring geometric mosaic floors decorated with plant patterns.

The caves served as secret Christian worship sites during early Christianity, containing architectural elements such as columns, capitals, and oil lamp niches.

Ancient Greeks connected these caves to the myth of Hercules entering the underworld to capture Cerberus, the three-headed guard dog.

The cave complex opens from 9 AM to 7 PM throughout the week, except for Mondays and weekends, with guided tours available.

The second chamber, known as Koca Yusuf Cave, extends 1.5 kilometers into the mountain and contains ancient inscriptions carved into its walls.
