Chinese Culture and Movie Center, Movie studio and theme park in Shilin District, Taiwan
The Chinese Culture and Movie Center spans across multiple buildings featuring reproductions of traditional Chinese streets, gates, and temple architecture within its grounds.
Construction of this entertainment facility began on December 31, 1974, and the center officially welcomed its first visitors on February 10, 1975.
The center functioned as a primary filming location for numerous television dramas and movies, representing Chinese architectural styles through its detailed structural designs.
Located near Soochow University and the National Palace Museum, the facility temporarily closed in 2006 for renovations and attempted a reopening in 2008.
The Central Motion Picture Corporation managed this entertainment complex until financial challenges related to maintenance costs led to its indefinite closure.
