Farglory Ocean Park, Marine theme park in Shoufeng Township, Taiwan.
Farglory Ocean Park is an amusement park along the Pacific coast in Hualien County, covering more than 50 hectares with eight themed zones. The complex runs between the shore and the hills, connected by a cable car system.
The Farglory Group began construction in April 1999, investing around 160 million dollars in the project. The park opened in December 2002 after three years of building work.
The park connects entertainment with insights into ocean life through animal shows and aquariums. Visitors can learn about the waters around Taiwan at several stations throughout the grounds.
The park opens at half past nine in the morning and closes at five in the afternoon on weekdays, with ticket sales ending two hours before closing. The complex sits on Taiwan's east coast and has parking facilities for visitors.
The cable car offers open views of the Pacific during the ride between park sections. From the gondola, you can see both the coastline and the open sea at the same time.
