Lieyu Township Culture Museum

Lieyu Township Culture Museum is a folk museum housed in the former local administration building and features two levels of exhibition spaces. The rooms contain artifacts, written records, and photographs that document the region's past and its connection to island life.

The museum opened in 2006 and moved into the former township administrative building to preserve local history. Its collection grew from materials donated by residents over time, creating a record of how the island community developed.

The galleries display fishing gear and household items that reflect how people shaped their lives around the sea and seasonal work. You can see the tools and objects that made up daily routines in this island community.

The museum spreads across two floors with different themed exhibition areas and a video viewing room for documentaries. It is straightforward to navigate, and visitors can explore the displays at their own pace without feeling rushed.

The collection includes around 300 historical photographs that show how island life changed over decades. Many of these images were donated by local residents and capture everyday moments that might otherwise be forgotten.
