Hrymailiv

Hrymailiv is a settlement in Ternopil Oblast located among agricultural fields and small industrial facilities. The community sits at roughly 293 meters elevation and functions as an administrative center for surrounding villages.

The settlement was founded in 1595 and underwent various administrative changes across the centuries. In 2024, it lost its urban-type settlement status and was reclassified.

The settlement maintains traditional Ukrainian agricultural practices, with residents cultivating crops and maintaining local farming traditions through generations.

The settlement offers basic services for residents through its local administrative structure within the Chortkiv Raion area. Visitors will find standard facilities typical of a smaller Ukrainian community.

Before World War II, the settlement had around 4,074 residents and hosted a significant Jewish community. This population helped shape the place's development and character during that era.
