Metalurh Stadium

Metalurh Stadium is a multi-purpose sports venue in Kryvyi Rih with three tiers of seating arranged around the field. The facility holds approximately 30,000 spectators on individual plastic seats and serves as the primary home ground for football competitions.

The venue opened in April 1970 and underwent major improvements in the late 1990s to meet international competition standards. These upgrades allowed the facility to host major football tournaments and matches at European level.

This venue serves as the home ground for Shakhtar Donetsk and has become a central gathering place for football fans in the region. Locals connect the stadium to their city's sporting identity and gather here for major matches throughout the season.

The venue is located near the Prospekt Metalurhiv metrotram station, making it accessible by public transit from various neighborhoods across the city. Getting there on game day is straightforward thanks to this convenient connection.

Beginning in the early 2020s, the facility entered a major reconstruction phase that involved demolishing several tribunes as part of a national infrastructure initiative. This long-term project will significantly transform the physical structure and operations of the venue.
